About the Author

Hello! I’m Preyesh Chauhan, the author and creator of Choux-Choux & Mochi, the heroes of a magical children’s book series that turns food into adventure and every recipe into a journey of discovery.

I’ve always believed that stories and food have something in common - they both bring people together. Growing up in a large family, I was surrounded by flavours, languages, and traditions. During lockdown, I began sketching and writing a story that celebrated those connections. A story that could help children learn about cooking, kindness, and culture in a fun, imaginative way. That’s how Around the World with Choux-Choux & Mochi was born.

The first book, based in Italy, invites young readers to travel with the curious little chef, his magical mochi friend, and their enchanted hamper as they explore Italy’s food, words, and warmth. The series blends storytelling, recipes, and geography to spark curiosity about the world. I want to encourage kids to learn, taste, and explore with confidence.

When I’m not writing, I work as a designer helping organisations and ideas come to life through creativity, empathy, and storytelling. Choux-Choux & Mochi is where those worlds meet: design, culture, and education combined into something magical for children and families to share.
